Derek 'iDom' Ruffin has earned a big prize in the world of Street Fighter V, as he's just won the Capcom Cup 2019, beating fellow American Victor 'Punk' Woodley in the grand final of the fighting game event.

With this win iDom earned $250,000 USD and a spot at next year's Capcom Cup, although it wasn't a totally smooth ride to get to the trophy, as he actually lost to Punk to fall into the loser's bracket in the playoffs, having to topple Arman 'Phenom' Hanjani to get a rematch.

At that point iDom won 3-2 and then 3-1 to get his revenge though, and it was a surprising event for Japanese fighters too, who all fell earlier in the competition.

Did you expect iDom to win?
