ESL has revealed that it's bringing the ESL One event to Los Angeles between March 20 and 22 next year, making it their first Dota 2 tournament on the West Coast, heading to the Shrine Auditorium.

This is actually the first Dota 2 Major in the US since 2016 as well, with teams competing for a prize pool of $1 million USD. 16 teams will be included at the event, and to compete, there will be online qualifiers between February 9 and 14. From March 14 to 19, teams will then fight for a chance to be on the main stage.

"Los Angeles is known for world-class entertainment and that is exactly what we aim to deliver with the L.A. Major," said Ulrich Schulze, Senior Vice President of Product at ESL. "We are finally bringing our ESL Dota 2 flagship competition to the U.S. West Coast for the first time and we are proud to deliver world-class Dota 2 action to the local community. With ESL One Los Angeles, we will put a stake in the ground to engage the US-based Dota 2 community and introduce one of our most iconic tournaments to a new location: the Shrine Auditorium conveying an absolute unique feel."

The event also has 15,000 DPC points, allowing teams to qualify for future events, with the playoffs following the schedule format of The International.

As is usually the case with these sorts of events, there are other opportunities like signing sessions, a Dota artist area, and more.

Tickets go on sale on November 21 at 11:00 PST, but will you be attending?
